Shibari is the ancient art of binding and is literally translated as “to tie”. Beautifully intricate and even meditative, enthusiasts create complex arrangements of knots and patterns. Contrary to more ‘robust’ forms of constraint, shibari is not about intolerable pain and control but embraces trust with a partner at the centre of its foundation. Forgiving and fun, shibari is for everyone from day dot beginners to practised pros. Our Jute Shibari rope comes in 6mm thickness and is available in 26.2ft/8m length and is natural, untreated. You will need to condition before use.
